I got into the manufacturing space rather accidentally.

 

As a clinical director at a large diabetes insulin pump manufacturing company, the product engineers often asked me my opinion on the products they were developing. Over time, it became apparent that engineers are focused on how well the product worked but not as much on the usability for the person with diabetes. I enjoyed being helpful; and, over time, learned about the necessary regulatory requirements.

I have developed IFU for several new products and participated in Human Factor and other testing.
